Portraits

Portraits are photos taken on people or a person. It is the close up of people on the current situation. There are two types of portraits, which are eye portraits and environmental portraits. The eye portraits is when the person or people is looking into the lens of the camera, capturing the subject looking toward the photographer. Environmental portraits is when the person or people are not focus on the photographer.

These two are photos of environmental portraits of people who are working and not looking towards the lens of the camera. Shows how the people won’t stop doing what they do in the work to portray the people are not focused on the photographer. The people are just going on their business to serve.

These two photos are eye portraits because the subject is looking the direction of the lens. Indicates that the person acknowledge the photographer and to stop for a while to face toward the camera.

My experience in taking portraits photos is very nerve racking due to the fact that I'm a very shy person. But this also help me to discover the different type of environment present in the market and my art class. The feeling of different nationalities and age come together to provide each other products and services needed for the current situation is very fascinating.

Composition

There are four types of composition in photography. These compositions are linear lines, balance, natural frame and texture. Linear lines is a composition that have lines leading towards the subject in the presented print. The composition of balance is when the subjects in the presented print share the same amount of attention. Natural frame is the composition of when the surrounding of the subject is acting like a frame. The composition of texture is when the print is has no subjects to full focus on.

This show a balance where the subject or in this photo, a group of people have the same amount of focus on them.

This is a texture where there is no subject present. In this case, the art equipments is materials that have different surface area and no focus on an object.

This is natural frame where the subject is framed. Occurs when the surrounding of the subject like a rectangular or square frame like structure.

This is linear line where the surrounding is leading towards the subject. In this case the edge of the wall creates a line that leads to the person.

My experience with taking these photos is very interesting in learning how these compositions can be seen in the photos I daily see on magazines. The different sides of the photo give a different vibe to each of the prints and that these can be seen anywhere

Multiple shots

Multiple shot is the emerging process of different position of the subject or person in a stationery place. The merging process is done in the Photoshop program. The minimum photos used in the process is about five pictures where one is the main photo where the other different possess will be cropped out and paste in the photo. When cropping a photo it is better to cut a big area around the subject, in this case the person because it will be easier to blend in the two pictures together the eraser tool using the softest side. After selecting the area, choose to copy the section and use paste in space tool, which automatically place the crop picture in the same position it had in the original photo. Repeat the process until all the photos have merged together.

To take different possess of a people were slightly challenging to the fact that I have to use the limited space and creative thinking on how the person should pose or be. I had to retake this assignment three times because there was a problem with the photo like it was blurry and there wasn't enough photo to cover a certain area on the main photo. Overall I enjoyed the atmosphere of working on this assignment because its carefree feeling and laughter is usually the emotions I like working in.
